Billing Dashboard
What the billing dashboard shows
The billing dashboard is the central view in CareIncite. It displays your practice's total billed revenue alongside the targets you have set, giving you an immediate read on whether your practice is on track, ahead, or behind. The dashboard aggregates billing data from all providers and all locations into a single view. If your practice is connected to Notenetic, this data updates automatically. If you are on a tier without Notenetic integration, the dashboard reflects the billing data entered manually by your team.
At the top of the dashboard, you will see your current period's total billed amount, your target for that period, and a status indicator. Below this summary, the dashboard breaks performance down by provider and by location, depending on your tier and how many providers and locations you have configured.
How to read the weekly performance view
The weekly view is the default when you open the dashboard. It shows the current week's billing total compared to your weekly revenue target. The week runs Monday through Sunday. Billing data is accumulated in real time throughout the week, so the number you see represents total billed revenue from Monday through the current day.
Below the summary, each provider is listed with their individual weekly total and their personal target. This allows you to see at a glance which providers are contributing to the practice target and which may need attention. Providers who are ahead of their weekly pace are marked with a green indicator. Providers who are behind are marked with a red indicator. Providers who are within a close range of their target show a neutral indicator.
How to interpret revenue vs. target indicators
CareIncite uses three status indicators to communicate performance against targets:
How to switch between weekly, monthly, and annual views
At the top of the dashboard, you will see three toggle options: Weekly, Monthly, and Annual. Click any toggle to switch the entire dashboard to that time period. When you switch to Monthly, the dashboard recalculates to show month-to-date billing against your monthly target. When you switch to Annual, it shows year-to-date billing against your annual target, along with a trend line that projects where you will land by year-end based on current pace.
All provider and location breakdowns update to reflect the selected time period. The status indicators also recalculate based on the selected period's target and billing data.
How to filter by location or provider
If your practice has multiple locations, you can filter the dashboard to show data for a specific location. Use the location dropdown at the top of the dashboard to select a single location. The dashboard will update to show only the billing data, providers, and targets for that location.
You can also filter by a specific provider to see their individual billing detail. When filtering by provider, the dashboard shows that provider's billing history, target tracking, and trend data in isolation. To return to the full practice view, clear the filter or select "All Locations" from the dropdown.
What the trend indicators mean
Trend indicators appear next to your billing totals and show the direction of your billing performance compared to the previous period. An upward arrow indicates billing has increased compared to the same period last week, month, or year. A downward arrow indicates billing has decreased. A flat line means billing is roughly the same as the previous period.
Trend indicators are calculated by comparing the current period's prorated billing against the same point in the previous period. For example, if you are viewing the weekly dashboard on a Wednesday, the trend compares Monday-through-Wednesday billing this week against Monday-through-Wednesday billing last week.
