Billing Dashboard

Practice OwnerExecutive AdministratorSpecialist (read-only)·6 min read·Updated May 2026

The Billing Dashboard is the central revenue view in CareIncite. It displays your practice's total billed revenue alongside the targets you have set, giving you an immediate read on whether your practice is on track, ahead, or behind. The dashboard aggregates billing data from all providers and all locations into a single view that updates automatically when new data arrives from Notenetic or manual imports.

Weekly Billing Performance

The Weekly Billing page (/billing) is the default billing view. It shows the current week's billing total compared to your weekly revenue target. The week runs Monday through Sunday. Below the summary, each provider is listed with their individual weekly total and personal target.

Providers ahead of their weekly pace show a green indicator. Providers behind show red. Providers within range show neutral. This lets you identify at a glance which providers are contributing to the practice target and which may need attention.

Revenue vs. target indicators

Ahead— Billing is on pace to exceed the target. Actual billed revenue, prorated for days elapsed, is above the expected daily rate.
On Track— Billing is within acceptable range of the target.
Behind— Billing is below expected pace. The practice will miss its target at the current rate.

Dashboard tabs

The main Dashboard (/dashboard) includes four tabs:

Overview— High-level KPIs: total revenue, active clients, provider count, and key alerts.
Revenue— Billing performance with weekly, monthly, and annual views. Target comparison and trend lines.
Utilization— Staff utilization rates showing billable hours as a percentage of available hours.
Payer Mix— Revenue distribution across payers with percentage breakdown.

Efficiency metrics

The Efficiency page (/efficiency) extends the billing view with operational efficiency metrics: revenue per provider hour, average session value, cancellation rates, and capacity utilization. This view helps you understand not just how much you are billing, but how efficiently your practice is converting available hours into revenue.

Who can access billing views

The Dashboard is accessible to all roles. Weekly Billing, Efficiency, and Payer Mix are accessible to ceo and admin (read/write) and specialist (read-only). Support staff do not have access to revenue and financial modules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my dashboard showing $0?
If you just completed setup, wait for the initial Notenetic sync (15–30 minutes) or import billing data via CSV. The dashboard updates as soon as billing data is available.
How often does the dashboard update?
With Notenetic connected, the dashboard updates on each sync (typically every 4 hours, or on manual sync). Without Notenetic, it updates immediately when data is entered or imported.
