Standings & Stats
How Standings Are Calculated
Standings in PressBoxIncite are calculated automatically based on game results entered by Athletic Directors or Coordinators. Each completed game contributes to the win-loss-tie record for both participating schools. Schools are ranked by winning percentage first, then by total wins as a tiebreaker. If two schools have identical records, head-to-head results are used as the secondary tiebreaker, followed by point differential.
Standings are tracked per sport and per season. A school's football record is entirely separate from their basketball record. When a new season begins, standings reset to zero for that sport.
How to Enter Game Results
After a game has been played, follow these steps to record the result and update standings.
Athletic Directors can enter results for their own school's games. Collective Coordinators and Conference Commissioners can enter results for any game in the collective.

How Standings Update in Real Time
PressBoxIncite standings update instantly whenever a game result is entered or modified. There is no delay or batch processing. When an Athletic Director saves a game result, every user viewing the standings page will see the updated rankings on their next page load. This ensures that the collaboration hub, meeting prep views, and championship bracket tools always reflect the most current data.
Conference vs. Division Standings
If your collective uses the Conference + Divisions structure, standings can be viewed at two levels. The conference standings show every school ranked together in a single table. The division standings break schools into their assigned divisions, with separate rankings within each division.
Use the toggle at the top of the Standings page to switch between Conference View and Division View. Division standings are used for playoff seeding, while conference standings give a bird's-eye view of how all schools compare across the entire conference.
